The kind of denture repair glue that can only be used should be able with withstand the same chewing pressures that the acrylic denture can bear. Dentures are made with acrylic not plastic.
It may be difficult to find denture repair glue, or any kind of dental glue that is made to be used for fixing dentures. The FDA has to approve such glues to be safe if eaten before they can be sold on the market. Most glues are poisonous, and are not approved by the FDA for denture repair use.

Double check with the places you may choose instead of using denture repair glue or dental glue to fix your dentures. Most places, there are dentists who physically inspect and write a denture repair prescription for your denture to get repaired off or onsite. Someplaces however may have dentists, but those dentists on site may never be involved with denture repairs. Those places that claim they have dentists who work with all broken dentures, it may be good to ask for the dentists name. If these places cannot give you the repsonsible dentists name who could be involved with your broken dentures, then it might be good to double check to make sure this places is operating under the dental health terms established in your state.
